Renaissance East Midlands - Interactive Media
Renaissance East Midlands is funded by the Department for Culture Media and Sport (DCMS) with the aim of transforming England’s regional museums, making them world class and fit for the 21st Century.
Katapult developed interactive software for installation at four Northampton Group museums.
The software was integrated into ‘kiosks’ which use web based technology to gather information and feedback from visitors in a survey. The interactive functionality enables users to give feedback, fill in questionnaires, view photo archives and find links to relevant websites. This enables exhibitions to be more accessible and the venues to understand more about their visitors. The software is fully content managed, enabling the administrators to update the site by uploading relevant new content and images.
The installations are live in four venues: Fermynwoods Contemporary Art Gallery, Northampton Museum and Art Gallery, Rothwell Heritage Centre and Kettering Museum & Art Gallery.
