Cream Award Winners!

We're delighted to have won bronze in the Digital category at the Cream Midlands Awards last week for our work on the Mob Format website.

We're incredibly proud of the site and think the award demonstrates much deserved recognition of the fantastic FORMAT International Photography Festival, held here in Derby every two years.

The awards ceremony took place at The Jam House in Birmingham where our Katapult team were joined by Format's Marketing Manager Adam Buss to accept the award.

We've enjoyed working with the Format team over the last four years and developing the festival marketing materials which includes Mob FORMAT, an online application that integrates seamlessly with Flickr to present a constantly evolving gallery. Mob Format is fast becoming an integral part of the festival's online presence.

The brief for FORMAT11 was to build on the participation aspect of the festival; engaging wider audiences through the online experience, driving international visitors to the site and increasing numbers of photography submissions from amateur and professional photographers alike.

By improving key functionality, we increased accessibility and future proofed the application for the client to manage and develop cost effectively in future years. This included integration with Google Analytics and social networking sites as well as submission via mobile platforms.

In four weeks the site received 10,000 submissions, a 400% increase from FORMAT09, 9,000 referrals from Facebook and Twitter, a significant increase in submissions from outside the UK and over 6,000 visits per day.

FORMAT has been recognised as a festival of global significance by the Arts Council of England and one of the key achievements in the arts of the last 60 years.

We're proud to be part of such a fast growing and now award winning international festival
