Thorntons - Direct Marketing Campaign

Following a pitch, Katapult were appointed to develop Thorntons for Business' Easter direct marketing campaigns targeting the automotive, catering and marketing promotion industries. As well as merchandising seasonal products and driving sales, the campaigns also reinforced Thorntons new positioning as an inclusive brand that delivers excellence, surprise, delight and value for money.

Easter Campaign
An Easter mailing included a box containing two Thorntons chocolates – one for the recipient and one for them to share. Recipients were prompted to witness the resultant delight with a view to achieving a similar response from customers, clients and employees. Data capture was driven through a competition offering a year's supply of Thorntons chocolate to the winner.

Automotive Campaign
Katapult were appointed to develop a campaign targeting the automotive industry. The direct mail out included packs of chocolates to be sent to car dealerships merchandising Thorntons chocolates as the perfect handover gift with new cars or as a thank you to service customers and after sales. The mailer used automotive terminology to attract interest and create intrigue and was personalised according to the marque offered by the recipient dealer.
