Following a pitch, Katapult were appointed to work on Thorntons for Business' Christmas campaign to raise awareness and interest in relevant Thorntons products and services and drive sales.
In response, Katapult developed the 'Department of Delight' campaign to prompt target businesses to set up their own Department of Delight to get closer to customers and staff by using Thorntons gifts as rewards and thank yous. The campaign consisted of two phases – the first being a teaser Christmas tree mailer which was sent to key business decision makers to raise awareness of Thorntons for Business and the products and services on offer. The mailer also functioned as a desk sign to enable the recipient to merchandise their Department of Delight within their business.
A supporting website was also developed including a competition in which businesses were encouraged to upload an photo of their Department of Delight to be in with a chance to win a year's supply of Thorntons chocolates. The second phase included a product brochure mailer to merchandise the full range of products and services and drive sales of gifts for clients and employees.
